regulars of the neocities comedy club!
My favorite comedy musician is Tom Lehrer. The late 60's was a turbulent period for politics and culture; Lehrer is a wonderful avenue for education about that time of American history imo!!
I mostly like a lot of The Funny Music Project, or the FuMP, and at the moment I am especially interested in The Consortium Of Genius. (But I have many other favourites!)
I grew up listening to Tom Lehrer, Stan Freeburg, and Weird Al! I once met Dr. Demento but I was too young at the time to really know who he was :,) that kind of comedy was constantly quoted and referenced in my house so it's both super nostalgic and really shaped my comedic sense today :)
Favorite Comedy Musician: Weird Al Yankovic! A generic choice but very enjoyable regardless. His polkas always make me giddy!
Barnes & Barnes -- BnB made a ton of weird, creepy, sometimes new-wavy music from the 1970s to the early 2020s. I learned a lot about them from their Facebook group where the members and their friends would share old photos and recall memories in the comment sections. It was truly sweet to witness... I even started to post some of my fanart ( Art Barnes called one of my pieces 'very boss" :-} )
