Come look thru my art!

Search by the tags to the side, or look through "doodles", which is untagged/unrelated to any of the cliques I think are big enough to get their own category!

slight warning... I am OBSESSED with my main OC. I have others, but I mostly draw them for my OC x fiction stuff (which there is a LOT of!!)

Here's some fun art stuff... if you're planning on sticking around the main art page for a while.

Weirdly Specific Artist Ask Game:

1. Art programs you have but don't use

Medibang, mostly! I used to use it a lot, before the Intuos I got came with 6-or-something month long access to CSP.

2. Is it easier to draw someone facing left or right (or forward even)

RIGHT. Like. THEIR right. I don't like forwards. It's FREAKY. Especially when placing the feet. Forward-facing feet are strange.

3. What ideas come from when you were little

All the MLP stuff is from when I was little, in a roundabout way. I mean, if we're talking about OC's or character worlds, mostly just my OC Seraphina. They're probably from when I was around 12? That's not little-kid little, though.

4. Fav character/subject that's a pain to draw

OH. Easily anybody from Midnight Cowboy, sans maybe Brenda Vaccaro. Jon Voight is just a weird subject to draw, which is mostly why my drawings of Joe are more aligned to how I saw him when I read the book. Rico's a pain, too. I think his eyes are what makes it difficult.

5. Estimate of how much of your art you post online vs. the art you keep for yourself

99% private 1% online, maybe. It really depends on how I feel, hehe! I don't usually do finished pieces, since this is just a pretty unserious passion of mine.

6. Anything that might inspire you subconsciously (i.e. this horse wasn't supposed to look like the Last Unicorn but I see it)

Most cartoons, I'd say! I've really grown to LOVE thick outlines on the outside, thin lines on the details. I attribute this mostly to the Clerks cartoon show.

7. A medium of art you don't work in but appreciate

Fashion!! I love old magazines (my Pinterest is 89% old fashion mags from the 60s-70s and 11% bands from that era)-- and its so bewitching to see fashion artists move with the decade and pick up things from years before.

8. What's an old project idea that you've lost interest in

Gee, just one? I'm a bit flaky like that. I've made up dozens of Ren'Py sprites and a handful of empty Twine games. OOH! One big one was an OC x Canon project with Back to the Future. The problem is that, frankly, BTTF doesn't align with my political views whatsoever. I'd try to fix the established canon while simultaneously trying to create one of my own. The biggest thing I wanted to change was the toll the personality shift in George and Lorraine would have had on Marty. His entire family history's been rewritten! Even the idea that his life before was so terrible that he'd be willing to lose 17 years of it to start all over-- god!

9. What are your file name conventions

Maybe a song lyric. Usually it's just a thought I'm thinking at the time. I went and checked my file names just to answer this. I usually am up late drawing, so most of the file names are something along the lines of "GOODNIGHT ME" and "going_sleepsbies".

10. Favorite piece of clothing to draw

BELLBOTTOMS. FLARED PANTS. HEELED SHOES. VESTS OVER A DRESS SHIRT AND / OR TURTLENECK. GOD!!!!!!

11. Do you listen to anything while drawing? If so, what

Sometimes music, but not really! I use a Kamvas tablet to draw, so I like to have a YouTube video or something on the main display while I draw. As for youtubers, I like stuff like this and this and this, maybe. There's other stuff, too. Maybe a random B-horror flick found on Tubi.

12. Easiest part of body to draw

I like eyes! They're so nice. Eyes are the easiest way to tell something about somebody, yanno? And it does indeed help that they're one of the three shapes everybody knows since they're, like, babies.

13. A creator who you admire but whose work isn't your thing

IDK HOW TO ANSWER THIS UHHHH. GOD... IDK? Maybe a bit Genndy Tartakovsky?? I liked UWE though + Hotel Transylvania. I had a hard time getting into Samuari Jack and Primal though. It's not something I've given up on, just something on the backburner.

14. Any favorite motifs

THIS ARE GETTING HARD. IDK MAN. UHH. The seventies sucked let's all dance disco? Is that a good one? I think that's a good one. I put a lot of this into my Midnight Cowboy stuff. That, and a feeling of transience. I really don't incorporate that into my art WELL, but I really do get that feeling when I'm drawing stuff for it. Just a heaving, unsure sense.

15. *Where* do you draw (don't drop your ip address this just means do you doodle at a park or smth)

In a CHAIR. Sometimes my bed but that's not a good thing, is it? At least, it's not good for digital stuff. I usually keep my sketchbook on me at all time, so anywhere! The world is my oyster but sadly I'm not too fond of seafood.

16. Something you are good at but don't really have fun doing

NOTHING OMG. There isn't really an aspect of art I don't enjoy!

17. Do you eat/drink when drawing? if so, what

Eating... not really. I only drink water, so that's all on the menu for me when I draw.

18. An estimate of how much art supplies you've broken

BROKEN?? Very little. A few pencils. Technically I snapped off the holder-end bit of my pencil, but I don't use that so phooey! I've lost SO MUCH STUFF, though. Markers, pencils, pens, erasers(!!!). Haven't lost or broken anything in a while which is... dangerous. UPDATE AS OF... many months later. The aforementioned pencil has been lost. I've had it for FOUR YEARS and used it EVERYDAY so it was quite the loss 2 deal with. I got the same pencil to replace it.

19. Favorite inanimate objects to draw (food, nature, etc.)

LISTEN. All I do is draw old people so. CIGARETTES (the surgeon general has declared it DANGEROUS to one's health, I know!). It's the only inanimate stuff I really draw. OOH! Can I count glasses? I love glasses. I don't mind big chunky Borderlands-style guns, either. I'm not great at them, though.

20. Something everyone else finds hard to draw but you enjoy

People tend to dislike lineart but I kinda like it! The finalization of it all is a bit scary, sure, but its FUN.

21. Art styles nothing like your own but you like anyways

I like most artstyles! That's a MAJOR copout though, huh? A lot of people in the Adult Swim fan communities tend to have diverse art styles, and I love a lot of stuff over there. If I named somebody, it'd probably be Greerdraws.. I love her stuff so much.

22. What physical exercises do you do before drawing, if any

Can we count my stretching before I draw? I'm eternally doing that.

23. Do you use different layer modes

Sometimes! Usually just whatever makes things look sick. Overlay for watermark stuff, too.

24. Do your references include stock images

Sure! I love stock images. They're a) funny and b) useful to keep around. There's a staged aspect I really like- it's like. 1920's Berlin and we're developing a wonderfully new expressionist piece. EXCEPT I am one person who paid twenty bucks for a clip studio paint account.

25. Something your art has been compared to that you were NOT inspired by

UH UH UH COME BACK TO ME. Maybe like. 2000's thats so random stuff. Which is not the case!! I put my humor into my art- at least, my doodles. and my biggest comedic inspiration is like. Hawkeye Pierce. so idk.

26. What's a piece that got a wildly different interpretation from what you intended

N/A LOOLLOL.

27. Do you warm up before getting to the good stuff? If so, what is it you draw to warm up with

NO. I go straight for the headliners, baby! Or. 15 layers of random things.

28. Any art events you have participated in the past (like zines)

No big things I've been in. I did a few days of Sparksvember a few years back. I've made some of my own personal zines which imo don't count.

29. Media you love, but doesn't inspire you artistically

HONESTLY maybe Metalocalypse? It inspires me TO BE artistic but I don't want to imitate it in my art, if that makes sense.

30. What piece of yours do you think is underrated

NONE OF THEM. I don't really post online. Ipso Facto, my audience is SOLELY me. WHICH, IPSO FACTO, means every single one of my drawings has ONE HUNDRED PERCENT ENGAGEMENT. BOOM.

Artist/Fanartist Ask Game:

Favourite thing to draw

no joke . ... but TBH creatures. TBH and smirking devil emoji's.

Favourite colour palette(s)

Anything that gives you that groovy 70s feel. That just-burnt-my-draft-card feel.

Favourite OC(s) to draw

Sera. They're my main OC.

Favourite medium

whatever! a good ole pencil is great. i like traditional. but digital is good too!

Medium you’d like to work with more

Paint! I actually lost my paints a while ago- I dunno where they went!

Drawing staples

flared pants and those cute lil chunky thick feet.

What you’d like to draw more of

Drawing(s) that took the longest

i don't really focus too much on time when it comes to my drawing, but I made this DE piece a while back that involved my suicide cop run. There's a thought in DE called finger on the eject button that allows Harry to really sink deeper into his depression and suicidal tendencies. You can say some really horrifying stuff. But my drawing had two variants- one of Harry with his hands to the side, and one with him in a .. not too great state. It was a but tricky because I had to layer the arms above the main body so I could easily switch between them.

Favourite fictional character(s) to draw

Rico and Joe!!!

Least favourite fictional character(s) to draw

NONE!! The MASH cast is sort of hard to draw for me.

Earliest fandom you did fanart for/first fanart

MLP!!!!

Some favourite feedback on art

I got told comment once that my art seems a bit slapdash. I like that. It feels punk rock. It's a shirt that doesn't fit all too right in certain spots but you have to make friends with regardless.
